Reviving a bumblebee

Lockdown Diary for Tuesday 16th June 2020

Here's a quickie of a blog post...

Today we've helped our local tourist office by planting plants in the gardens outside the office, which is to open in mid July for two days which is a good start.  At least something is open, yet still people are wary of how things will be done when picking up leaflets and what not when you go inside.  Unfortunately, I won't be doing any shifts and with the charity shop not opening to volunteers yet I am sort of wanting to do things haha! ... We've been pleased with ourselves today, we seemed to have revived a bumblebee, after it seemed distressed.

Until the next post... <3 Stay safe and well.

Bruce the Hedgie

George and Bruce

The names of two of the hedgehogs that visit the Harp's and Willis' households where we live on our street.  Bruce is the largest of the two hedgehogs that our neighbour Mrs Willis weighed...  he weighs a staggering 1113 grams in weight! We both raise money and also take any injured, poorly or hedgehogs that are out in the day... to The Little Silver Hedgehog.  Emma @ https://littlesilverhedgehog.com/ rescues and nurses injured ones back to health as well as Mrs Willis being one of the foster mums being there for the hedgies getting better. Emma's facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/littlesilverhedgehog/
(Bruce in the garden)

George is a smaller hedgehog that we have found to be one of the 'lower rank' when it comes to him meeting Bruce...I've never thought hedgehogs could fight like that or be like that.  But they're interesting creatures and when they're not together interesting eaters and roamers!

Until the next post, stay safe and well during these strange times.

A late reply of an apology and also hedgehog diaries...

A busy lockdown random diary entry...

Well, ok, so I know this isn't a good enough excuse for being busy doing geocaching, walking and gardening for not doing my blog... so my apologies for that.

We've recently been looking after, or rather putting food out for the resident hedgehogs in our garden.  Along with the bee and insect hotel and reviving a bumble bee earlier today.  That and other random things... These are the geocaches (Want to know about geocaching click here!) we did nearby the nearby Terrington area geocaches and found a few but not that many which is sad... have any of you done them and can maybe help?

(the geocaches mapped out screen shot from my mobile phone)
